Don’t be Such a Baby

I don’t know about you, but I have days when I embarrass myself (and I live alone).  I can get up from my morning devotional & prayer time, feeling all spiritual…..then something insignificant will set me off and, I immediately act like an unsaved fool.  It seems everything I just read flies out the window.  Yes, I’m weak and have to ask forgiveness all day, every day!

As you make plans for the day, be aware that He may be smiling at your plan.  All the while He has a completely different direction for you.  Don’t act like a big baby and throw a wild-eyed fit if He changes your plan.  Not that I’d know anything about that…..  I’m learning too.

Can you imagine having the King of all Kings right beside you, in whatever you do?  Well, you don’t have to imagine it… if God is your King of Kings!  His word says that He is right there beside us, holding us with His right hand.  This is too awesome for us to grasp with our little minds.  If God says it, then it’s true!  Right?

If only we could learn to trust that He knows what He’s doing, even if we have to wade through a multitude of difficult problems today.  He’s able to make even our gloomiest day bright!

Let’s practice staying in the present, where He is now…not the future or the past.  Let’s learn to focus on one task at a time.  Then after completion, trust Him to direct our next step.  He will…when we invite Him to be in ALL we do…even the small things.  When His will aligns with ours, we will stay on His path of peace!

When you find yourself being a big crybaby because you are facing difficulties, remember to ask forgiveness and thank God for the problem.  Trust me…I have to do this every day!!  This humble act will draw you deeper into dependence on Him.  I mean think about it…isn’t your next breath totally dependent on Him?

Maybe, eventually we’ll discover that all the problems He guides us through, will teach us valuable life lessons.

Just follow the path He’s put you on.  Your difficulties can then turn into blessings!  Just another reason to be thankful “in all things”….

Trust & obey, for there’s no other way!  Sounds easy, doesn’t it?  Believe me it takes 100% effort every day we live, this side of heaven.  More than anything, thank Him that we never have to depend on our own strength.
